What are the format options for export?

Will drawings get tagged with BOM letters?
No, BOM tag letters will not correlate to drawing tag letters, you must use the SW tag function to rename the letters to match the BOM.
Can you edit existing bar machining?
Yes, you can edit existing bar machining when in edit mode with no loss of machining, machines separately from assembly.
Can you edit existing panel machining?
Yes, you can edit existing panel machining in edit mode with no loss of machining. Several dozen miscellaneous services are not available currently.
Is there part-connection capability built into AQSW?
No. The standard mating capability is built into Solidworks.
Is there backward compatibility? Can you save any older version?
No, it can only be saved in Solidworks version that created the assembly and opened in saving version and newer. ** If opened in new version it can upconvert to new version.
What is the design file format?
AQSW utilizes assembly models with SW parts.
What is the drawing/design portability?
You must generate a SW pack-n-go and send all assemblies and parts or you can send only the assembly file to be reviewed with e-drawing viewer.
Can you import predesigned AQSW frames into design?
If you import a predesigned AQSW frame into a new assembly, you must ungroup or dissolve the imported assembly before you run a BOM or else it will not appear on the BOM.
Can you import legacy Solidworks frames into AQSW?
If you import a frame that utilized legacy Solidworks files, AQSW and the AQSW BOM will not recognize the components.
Can you export CAD files?
Yes, all available SW formats will be dumb models.
What do the design visuals look like?
The design visuals look like photorealistic assemblies & parts.
What is the ease of use?
AQSW requires more knowledge and experience than AQXII to assemble frames.
What size of file is exported?
Design file sizes are much larger, due to including all used models with the file assembly, (example assembly 18+mb).
What is the average design time?
The average design time is longer than AQXII due to the additional time needed to attach/mate components.
