A Technical College in Minnesota decided to challenge students to develop a pencil dispenser using 80/20 since several of the students were already using the extrusion as a pencil storage device. The design had to be small scale and was a project driven to incorporate the multidisciplinary task of student training which includes 3D solid works design, pneumatics, electronics, and manufacturing and assembly techniques.
