Q.
The prefabricated HT Series™ has what
diameter of mounting holes?
A. .328” Click Here for Prefabricated Machining Detail
Q. What interval are the HT Series™ mounting
holes are evenly spaced at?
A. 1.50” Click Here for Prefabricated Machining Detail
Q. If the pre-manufactured hole pattern is based
on 1.50” intervals,
is my cut length required to be in 1.50” increments?
A. No. If you require your cut length to be something other than an increment
of 1.50”, you can cut HT Series™ tube without holes to length
and call out 7246 drill services, or use prefabricated HT Series™ tube
with an Extended Tube Insert.
Q. To properly apply a Standard Tube Insert, what is the distance from
the end of the extrusion to the center of the first mounting hole?
A. .75”
Q. What are the basic methods for making an HT Series™ connection?
A. Standard Inserts with Flanged Hex Bolts, Standard Inserts with Spring
Roll Pins, and Joining Plates
Q. How many different profiles of HT Series™ extrusions
are offered?
A. Five profiles with various flange configurations. In addition to the
square tube profile, 80/20 also offers a single flange “P” profile,
a double flange “A” profile, a single flange “T” profile,
and a double flange “H” profile.
Q. What is the alloy and finish of the HT profiles?
A. HT Series™ profiles are extruded from 6105-T5 Aluminum and have
a clear 204-R1 anodized finish.
Q. What is the alloy and finish of the Standard Tube Inserts?
A. All inserts offered from 80/20 are 6105-T5 Aluminum and are mill-finish.
Q. What other series of 80/20 is HT Series™ most
compatible with?
A. Nearly all 15 Series parts and components are compatible with HT Series™.
Q. What is the cut to length tolerance for HT Series™ profiles?
A. +/-.015”
Q. What are the proper tools needed to insert spring roll pins?
A. Hard/Soft Face Hammers work great for driving Spring Roll Pins and won’t
damage the surface of the HT Series™ profiles. Also, using a Roll
Pin Punch simplifies keeping the Spring Roll Pin aligned with the HT Series™ through
hole.
Q. How do I specify through hole machining services
for HT Series™ profiles?
A. Machining Services for HT Series™ profiles are specified by calling
out the service, the axis that the service goes through, the style or dimensional
location, and the end the service is from.
Q. What wrench sizes are needed to put HT Series™ profiles
together?
A. 5/16-18 Hex Bolts and Nuts require a ½” open end wrench
and M8 x 1.25 Hex Bolts and Nuts require an M13 open end wrench.
Q. What are the stock lengths for HT Series™ profiles?
A. All HT Series™ profiles are available in 97” and 145” lengths. |
