The harness follows Dexter, with ropes attached to the robot to prevent it from falling should something go wrong. "The robot weighs about 140 lbs and can fall pretty hard," says creator Trevor B. "So the cage has to be strong but absorb some impact."

Trevor also had to attach pieces of test equipment: electronics, cameras, lights, hose retractors, air tanks and batteries. Trevor said he opted for 80/20 because his team is "all about doing things the easy way. Also, because we give a lot of demos, we care how it looks. 80/20 looks clean and high-tech, much nicer than something welded."
